Virgin Mary or Alien? Print E-mail
Friday, 07 April 2006
According to WCNC television in North Carolina, a woman has found a shell that resembles the Virgin Mary.  But is it really the Virgin?  Or something far more sinister...

Kathy Snow, of Mooresville, North Carolina, was walking along the beach last year, when she found this shell.

"I just glanced down and saw a shell that was unique, picked it up and saw the image,” she said.   "I showed it to my son and he saw the same thing, Mary holding Jesus."

Here is the shell she's talking about.

Well, to me, this doesn't look like the Virgin Mary.  It looks like something much more dangerous.  Rotate it a bit, and it resembles this:

Ms. Snow is doing what any sensible person would do with a miraculous image: selling it on eBay for $25,000.  But I think her shell is actually worth much more.  After all, miraculous images of Jesus and Mary show up all the time, but how many times have you seen a miraculous image of a species of malevolent xenomorph? Better call the Colonial Marines.
