Every great story needs a soundtrack.  Casablanca had As Time Goes By.  Dr. Zhivago had Lara's Theme.  Hulk Hogan had Real American.  And now, Miracle Tortilla has its own song.

It's called Jesus on a Tortilla, and it's by the Bucky Burro Band.  Here's the mp3, or head to myspace.com/buckyburro to stream it directly into your brain.

You know, some of the best songs ever written the most completely incomprehensible lyrics.  For every tune with the sentimental eloquence The Beatles in I am the Walrus, or the poignant longing of Eezy-E in Eazy Duz It, there is an uncouth bumbler like Franz Schubert and his pathetic work Die Forelle.  No, they can't all be Rachmaninoff, can they?

But some can.  Like the Bucky Burro Band.

With their soon-to-be smash hit Jesus on a Tortilla, the Bucky Burro Band have merged the simple novelty song genre with something deeper: the universal human desire for truth, or - dare I say it? - the miraculous.  Each of us wants to know that there is something else out there, something greater than ourselves, something that holds the answers to life's mysteries.  And ideally, that something should be found at the nearest Kroger.  Jesus on a Tortilla plucks our heartstrings like a toothless hillbilly on a banjo.  With its enthusiastic references to lucrative eBay sales and hungry children, it will make even the most stoic chins quiver with emotion.

Sure, some might call its references to a miraculous Jesus made of poop sacrilegious.  Others might call it unhygienic.  But I prefer to call it ein herausragendes und witziges Liedchen, welches ein Lächeln für die ganze Familie mit sich bringt

And I think you will, too.
